James Garrod heads up JP Trett’s Agricultural Technology and Machinery Recruitment Division, focusing on long-term client relationships primarily within the blue-chip manufacturer / OEM sector as well as senior appointments within the distribution network.
- Many years experience in senior recruitment and consultancy for JP Trett, James brings 2 decades’ worth of previous professional experience in the agricultural machinery sector, having experienced life initially within the retail dealership network, followed by 13 years working for the UK subsidiary of a major European implement manufacturer, achieving regular promotion culminating in his appointment as UK & ROI General Manager in 2011
- James’ professional network is substantial, having grown exponentially since joining JP Trett and his objective sector knowledge, insight and expertise are regularly sought by industry decision makers
- Key areas of interest and personal development which are important to James include corporate structure, the future of retail distribution and the continued growth of the technology sector

From a family farm background and with a Modern Languages degree from the University of Hull, James holds affiliate membership of IAgrE, and at grass roots level looks after finance for NORMAC (Norfolk Farm Machinery Club), a voluntary organisation holding a well-supported biennial cultivations demonstration for machinery manufacturers to showcase their products.
