PROFESSIONAL PROJECTS:

  • Vegetable agronomy UK/Overseas – Agrochemical/Nutrition supply, consultancy, amenity , home and garden.
  • Consultancy/supply in Ireland, Kenya and Nigeria.
  • Commercial/Technical responsibility for 17 agronomists nationally
  • Agronomy on 3,000 Ha of vegetables too include Carrots, Parsnips, Alliums, Lettuce (indoor/outdoor/organic), Swedes, Turnips, Pak Choi ( indoor), tomatoes indoor, Brassicae, herbs, celery ( indoor/oudoor) and Rhubarb crops.
  • Group vegetable sales of £6million from zero.
  • Staff recruitment, appraisal, technical and commercial coaching.
  • Trials and new product development/ manufacturer technical contact, with specific trials developed to solve Client problems.
  • Management group responsibilities with total profit and loss responsibility, and excellent cross co-operation between Arable, fruit and amenity divisions.
  • On HDC Vegetable panel – allocation of R & D spending, Technical co-ordinator for Leek growers Association, BOPA R & D committee member, carrot growers R& D committee member.
  • Glasshouse production of Tomatoes, leeks, strawberries, peppers, and Roses. Assisted and undertaken feasibility project of a  company in USA looking at production in California, Mexico, Florida, Arizona and Memphis.
  • Implemented UK and overseas conservation policy looking at sustainable horticulture fitting in harmony with the environment.
  • Worked closely with wildlife trusts and local trusts too improve habitat networks on farms, (otter Holts were constructed on local river banks) and carried out Biodiversity action plans for farms in UK.

  • Interpersonal – Strong interpersonal skills from extensive uk and overseas Agronomic, commercial and technical Experience.  A friendly and amiable disposition lends favourably to a position where rapport and relationship building is required and ethical handling of people and business situations is essential.
