WHAT’S THE JOB? SENIOR SALES MANAGER UK & IRELAND

WHERE IS THE ROLE LOCATED? UK & IRELAND

TELL ME MORE ABOUT THE ROLE? Planning, directing, and coordinating the sales and marketing activities to deliver on sales targets including managing the sales team and being responsible for the sales and marketing budget. Delivering the strategic objectives and Company values as agreed with the board of Agrimin Limited. This job has supervisory responsibilities including hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating the performance of a current staff of 6 sales managers and 2 office based staff.

  • Managing and motivating the sales team by leading, training, and mentoring. Defining and assigning responsibilities and evaluating performance
  • Developing a culture of shared values and behaviours
  • Improving procedures and performance to develop a sales team focused on the achievement of the annual sales revenue budgets
  • Preparing budgets and forecasts which reflect board’s strategy and objectives whilst providing challenging targets for individual members of the sales team
  • Developing, coordinating, and monitoring marketing activities to support the sales team in meeting their targets effectively and efficiently
  • Providing sales force development by effective coaching in all relevant sales skills and education in the technical knowledge of the animal health nutrition market
  • Overseeing/leading in the relationships with key accounts and overall ensuring close and strong relationships are maintained with distributors, wholesalers and farmers directly or working through the sales team
  • Providing an interface between the sales team and marketplace and the rest of the Company: giving regular feedback to the board of directors, the senior management team and other key members of staff on individual and market performance, market share and competitor activity; conveying information back to the sales team on products, stock levels and marketing activity
  • Continually reviewing market strategy including route to market, pricing, marketing spend, and related activities to enhance sales team performance and accelerate the growth of the business
  • Regularly attending shows and exhibitions to maintain product and market awareness, develop customer relations and monitor competitor activity
  • Performing other related duties and assignments as required
WHAT QUALITIES DO I NEED?  
  • Degree level education in a related subject
  • Minimum of 5-8 years experience.(Animal Health or related field preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of PC package tools including, but not limited to Microsoft Office Professional, CRM, and social media platforms
  • Knowledge of business process and the ability to work within the general business hierarchy
  • Experience in effective sales personnel recruiting, development and management practices.
    Ability to work independently
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing at all levels within a business and in all sectors of the market
  • Ability to set priorities, delegate responsibility, manage multiple tasks and remain focused
  • Ability to define problems, collect data and establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret a variety of technical information
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
  • Valid driving license
  • Effective interpersonal skills
