WHAT’S THE JOB? NATIONAL SERVICE MANAGER 

WHO’S THE EMPLOYER? A hugely respected manufacturer of agricultural machinery: long established, with a genuine global reach. From its European headquarters the Company designs and develops an extensive range of products appropriate to the key markets within which it enjoys considerable commercial success. Not least of these is the UK, in which the Company has enjoyed many years of sales growth, and where a robust and proactive dealer network sells and provides excellent levels of product support to a portfolio of equipment at the cutting edge of technology and innovation.

WHAT’S THE LOCATION? West Midlands Region

TELL ME MORE ABOUT THE ROLE? As a member of the Company’s senior leadership team, you will be responsible for managing and developing a comprehensive technical support function, delivered via a team of field-based technical product support engineers to an extensive dealer network throughout all parts of the UK. Key focus areas of the role include warranty, technical training, budgeting and customer service at a strategic level, ensuring the quality of the service and technical support structure reflects the quality and volume of product in the field.

WHAT EXPERIENCE AND QUALITIES DO I NEED? 

  • With a strong agricultural machinery career pedigree, you are an experienced manager possessing a successful background in running a departmental function within an agricultural machinery manufacturing, sales or distribution organisation
  • Focused on customer outcomes, you show can demonstrate clear understanding of the end user and machinery dealership working environments in order to deliver high standards of customer and product support
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required – you should be able to engage positively with agricultural industry professionals at all levels and you’ll have an articulate verbal communication style which reflects both the extent of your sector knowledge and your passion for the industry
  • You’ll have relevant experience in the fields of technical training, warranty and technical support systems and dealer aftersales development
  • You possess good all-round IT skills including MS Office and CRM systems
  • You’re a strong and supportive team leader capable of getting the best performance from your team
  • You have good all-round organisational skills, the ability to adapt and prioritise where required, and can refine and develop internal processes and systems
  • Located in or prepared to relocate to the West Midlands Region, you should be prepared to travel occasionally (including overseas) and possess a full, clean driving licence
