WHAT’S THE JOB? CHANGE PROGRAMME MANAGER: POTATO STORAGE RESEARCH

WHERE IS THE ROLE LOCATED? West  Midlands, UK

TELL ME MORE ABOUT THE ROLE? To lead and manage the transition of the potato storage research from being delivered in house to externally sourced. The role will provide oversight of the programme through implementation to delivery of the project, ensuring change outcomes are well-defined, appropriately prioritised and delivered to plan.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with the business as the programme lead to successfully deliver the change management process
  •  Understand and ensure the successful delivery of the potato storage research strategy and the client’s requirements from the project
  • Have a thorough understanding of the commercial impact of any changes made and be able to act as a leader of the change programme
  • Lead and manage the development of new and existing partnerships for potato storage research, working with the Head of Crop Storage Research
  • Work closely with work stream leads, managers and the corporate services team to ensure successful transition of change

WHAT QUALITIES DO I NEED? 

  • Qualified in Programme or Project Management, with proven experience of successful change delivery across a range of projects
  • Experience of the Potato Industry and / or commissioning and managing agricultural research
  • Experience of shaping change and able to deliver at an operational level, within strict deadlines and to budget
  • Able to work strategically and collaboratively, and used to influencing and negotiating at senior level
  • Confident simplifying complex situations for non-expert audiences
  • Natural ability to absorb and quickly understand technical information
  • Flexible to travel as regular visits to Sutton Bridge will form part of the role
