Job Description

WHAT’S THE JOB? AFTERMARKET SOLUTIONS SPECIALIST

WHO’S THE EMPLOYER? A major global manufacturer of tractors, harvesting equipment and related products with a manufacturing presence in all 5 continents, and sales and distribution networks throughout 175+ countries. With a significant proportion of its budget devoted to research and innovation, this is an employer of considerable prestige and global standing.

WHAT’S THE INDUSTRY? Agricultural machinery

HOW WILL I BE REWARDED? With an excellent salary package and extensive benefits

WHAT’S THE LOCATION? Southern England, with some overseas travel

WHAT CAN YOU TELL ME ABOUT THE ROLE? A key member of a specialist team focused on the development of value adding aftermarket services and solutions, this is a product ownership role with accountabilities in the leveraging of additional revenue from extended warranties, maintenance contracts and related services. Working closely with EMEA markets, you will assess needs and provide guidance in the range and suitability of products specific to local market conditions, language and legal terms. You will also facilitate the uptake of products and services via the dealer network, ensuring a robust adoption method.

WHAT EXPERIENCE AND QUALITIES DO I NEED?

  • You’ll have significant experience in aftersales, warranty and / or service system delivery within the agricultural equipment sector, ideally at OEM level, focused on positive customer outcomes
  • You’ll show a thorough understanding of the aftermarket solutions environment, covering extended warranty, out of season servicing, maintenance contracts, connected services etc
  • You should have good all-round knowledge of modern agricultural machinery at a technical, semi-technical or operational level and also understand the European agricultural machinery sector
  • Capable of seeing the big picture, you can work with company teams and resources to pull together the key components of a product or service, eg: from pricing, programming, technical, legal etc
  • Excellent communication skills are required (you must be fluent in spoken and written English), and you can work effectively with remote-based colleagues. Additional language skills would be welcome
  • You’re flexible and adaptable, capable of high performance within a complex team environment where you will act in a ‘go-to’ capacity for the specified products and services
  • Well organised, with a strong sense of initiative and autonomy, you can proactively drive a project within a given timeframe, with high professional standards and the ability to work under pressure
  • Living in the South of England, ideally close to major airports, you will be flexible on travel to other markets when required

WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW? This is a hugely varied and rewarding role, at the heart of the aftermarket function of a development-driven blue chip global equipment manufacturer and will require a committed, intelligent and insightful individual with the necessary industry experience to achieve success. If that’s you, we really want to hear from you! Please send us a copy of your latest CV (in complete confidence), and a little bit about yourself. You can send it directly to us – james.garrod@jptrett.com
