      THE ROLE – The ideal candidate will be interested in establishing, working on and monitoring field and glasshouse trials with a good eye for detail.

      A fully committed candidate will be responsible for the following:

      *To provide routine support to the Trials Officers in the setup, day-to-day maintenance and assessment of biological trials. *Support duties will include potting, watering, trial assessments (after suitable training), and any other duties considered necessary. *Ensuring that all work is carried out safely, in accordance with the Company’s Environment, Health and Safety policies and instructions (risk assessments). *To design, implement and report field and glasshouse trials in assigned areas, with the support and management from your line manager. *Day-to-day monitoring of the relevant trials facilities.

With state of the art fully equipped service and repair facilities this is an established 4th generation family company to be proud of representing.SALARY - Competitive + BenefitsLOCATION - SurreyTHE ROLE:Reporting to the Parts Manager, you will supervise and work alongside a small parts team that are responsible for the day to day sales within the showroom ensuring excellent customer service at all times by dealing with all queries relating to the products and services supplied by the Company.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* Organising the day to day running of the parts department and to provide cover for the Parts manager in his absence* To maintain stock levels in the showroom * Facing up of goods on display; ensuring products are accurately priced, tagged and displayed* Processing orders/quotations from other branches as necessary * Re-distribution of parts to other branches where requested in a timely manner* Sourcing products/parts from our suppliers and placing specific orders for customers, or for in-branch staff (e.g. service team)* Stock-Checking products and goods* Point of Sale Administration; cash/card transactions and invoices* Promote specialist offers and using relevant products to generate sales including upsales* Regular General Housekeeping* Unloading and loading deliveries as required including packing of goods* Improving product knowledge through attending training courses and familiarising yourself with product updates and developments* Communicating efficiently and effectively with all internal based staff, manufacturers, suppliers and customers via face to face contact, telephone, fax or email* Provide efficient, effective and friendly customer service* Have an understanding of relevant goals and targets set for the parts department and branch* Be motivated and focused on achieving targets and goals set* Follow company procedures and guidelines and appropriate health & safety measuresEXPERIENCE:* Excellent people skills and enjoy working with the general public* Enjoy working in a busy atmosphere and can cope under pressure during busy periods* Good communication skills: face to face, letter, email and fax* Familiarity of working in a retail environment and showroom experience (desirable)* General computer skills and familiarity with email and internet use * Sales experience and/or knowledge of horticultural and agricultural machinery (desirable)* Clean driving license* Smart & presentable appearance* Motivated by sales and targets* Attention to detail and accuracy with numbers, handling of cash, cheque and card payments * Able to use own initiativejp tRE* Maintain a good general level of health and fitnessGET IN CONTACT: In the first instance please forward your CV together with a cover note and salary requirements and all successful candidates will be contacted within 14 days of us receiving your application.
